The Style

Every illustration in "A Little Freedom" is crafted in a unique style that blends the expressive chalk art with the bold energy of comics.

Heavy chalk and oil pastel on black paper. Extremely textured, scratchy, raw. Bold thick black ink outlines. Rich, saturated vibrant colors. Very dark moody atmosphere. Comic book meets children's book warmth. Gritty and handmade.

Meet The Claw

A small hermit crab with a big spirit. His right claw is noticeably larger than his left - a feature that makes him different from everyone else. His shell, a turban snail shell with a jagged crack, is his home and his identity. And that electric blue bandana? Pure attitude.

🦀 The Big Claw

His right claw is 2-3x larger than his left. What others see as odd, he sees as his superpower.

🐚 The Shell

A turban snail shell - round, warm orange-red with pink highlights, a bold spiral, and a jagged crack that tells a story.

💙 The Bandana

Electric blue, always flowing. Part surfer, part adventurer, all attitude.

👀 The Eyes

Big, round, shiny cartoon eyes on stalks. They tell the whole story - every emotion, every moment.

"But Claw had two things no one could take away.

A sharp brain and a big heart.

And on quiet nights, when the whole ocean held its breath, those two things hummed together like a secret song."
